Oo Kook Korean BBQ

I like to go with friends to this place with my highest recommendations. I go to this restaurant often. This recommendation is always successful. The the food there is yummy and the stuff is very friendly and cooperative. Whenever we go to this place we enjoy a pleasing time. highly recommended.

Meats were really reallygood !! Quick service. Constantly changed the grills. Many selections. Reasonably priced. Had valet. A little bit noisy environment but enjoyed the food. Highly recommend.

The food was amazing and there is always a line to eat here! The downside is that the parking is valet only so plan to find street parking around the residential area and walking. I have been here about three times so far. A previous visit we had a reservation but ended up more than an hour behind because they said they couldn't force the group before us to stop eating even though we had a timed reservation (not sure how this happened). During my more recent visit we skipped reserving and did a walk in sign up. It went a lot smoother this time! The customer service is excellent and our waiters were very attentive.

Stopped here on two separate visits to LA, and for Korean barbecue the food and service is pretty decent. But in my opinion nothing really stands out about this place. To me, they charge you the same amount of money as others but they don't offer a big variety of meats or side dishes. I'm only giving three stars because honestly there is better Korean BBQ, not because it's a bad place. Again, personal preference. Try it and see for yourself.

Went for the All You Can Eat special and was very happy with how everything turned out. The staff is very attentive, consistently asking if everything is okay, helping cook, and cutting the food. The quality of meat is quite impressive, seasoned and cut perfectly for easy cooking. Even seemingly simple items like the mushrooms are surprisingly delicious, I must have tried 10 items and they were all amazing. I cant wait to go back and try the other 20-30 things I want to try.

I get to eat here a lot since I work nearby. I must say their customer service is always excellent and they keep the place well kept all the time. Pricing is affordable and they serve sizeable portions.

I was recommended to go here by my roommate and wasn't disappointed. Although I haven't had much exposure to "fine" BBQ, I would have to say this place was amazing! I ordered the brisket, half rack of ribs, and a few pulled-pork sandwiches. Everything was delicious! I will definitely be coming back, and this time to get some sides as well! I've read in the comments that their sides are superb as well.

I recommend this place because it is not the most expensive one in town, but offers great quality meats and banchans. You can select from a couple differently priced options (each will give you more meat options) but even the cheapest one is enough to get you a great taste of Korean BBQ! Friendly staff.

It’s a good place but not too great. The parking is a valet. 3 bucks must . (-1)Sometimes meat taste funny like water and still the price is little high for the meat. (-1)Their servers are nice and professional. They cut the meat into very nice size. (+1)They can improve on the sides. I wish they have the mashed potatoes instead of the salad. (-1)They don’t take amex. (-1)They offer a lot of choices even if you don’t go for the premium. That I really like about. (+2)

Wow! The all you can eat special is fantastic. Tons of good food and the price was fair, too. If you’re a meat eater or on keto, this is a must-try in Koreatown.

What if I told you there was a place where you could gorge yourself on delicious meats for 90min? Would you believe me and would you respond with "challenge accepted?" Good stuff and all your mouth and stomach can handle for 90min straight. It's busy and parking around here sucks. They stack parking too btw.

Came here twice in a weeks time! I love this place has great food with a unique experience. You cook your food on a hot plate built into your table (not hibachi) in front of you at your own leisure. Go premium if you love good steak!

We stumbled across this place, not knowing that it's an all you can eat cook at your table place. As we had an event a few hours later that involves food, that would have been impractical. When we told them, they showed us the "special menu" on the back of the lunch menu (which also looks interesting) so we could order something lighter. We hit the jackpot with an order of spicy octopus and an order - no, make that a vat - of beef short rib soup. OMG great! First, we got all of the veggie condiments and pickles that come with the all you can eat. Sliced mushrooms, jalapeno like chili slices, something crunchy, some other things and of course, kimchee! The waiter did the final prep at the table - cutting up the components of the octopus dish, turning it into a family sized rice bowl, and getting the meat off of the bone for the soup.We fed three people family style, were just full enough, and were, a few hours later, were ready for cocktails and dessert! Yup, we'll be back!

At the first moment you enter this place they give you an agreeable feeling. Very warm crew, it is a lovely place to to go out with friends or with your date. delightful cooking, experienced chef, modest price and professional service. Warmly recommended.

It's excellent! Quality meat, very good service. We only regret that we didn't reserved for the premium table. We do it next time.

I definitely suggest making reservations ahead as it can be very busy but I love this place. This is my go to BBQ in the city. The selection of meats and drinks is excellent. The employees are always very nice and fast to service your table. Overall I highly recommend eating here.

This is definitely one of the coolest place in the region. Always when I come there I am deeply satisfied. They maintain their very high standard service and the topmost level of cooking they provide. You definitely will enjoy this this place. Warmly recommended.

Ultimately I'm rating this a 4/5 because it's not the best KBBQ experience I've had. The pricing is good in terms of value- good cuts of meat, large portions. Not a lot of side condiments but for us that's not an issue. Service was good- had to flag them down a few times but servers were very nice and willing to help us/offer suggestions. They have a vegetarian option- rice with vegetables on top. One of our group got it and was underwhelmed by it. Rice was lukewarm and veggies were cold. The dish was flavorless. But of course it's KBBQ which specializes in meat so we weren't surprised. Would come again.

Love this place! Come hungry and thirsty! Cook your own meats or they will assist. Loud and fun, it's always a party at Oo Kook!! A must try, you will get hooked, it's an event and a super tasty time!!

Had a grand ole Time here with a group of beautiful hardworking people. They are on the ball here. Our grill was always cooking some high quality meat, our sides were always replaced, the Soju and beer were flowing, and our grill was being replaced to ensure nothing would burn. On top of a great night I just happened to spot Amy Adams at the table next to us. I think she is a fantastic actress and I sent over a beer. She gave me the nod, a cheers, and that was perfect. But she went a step further and talked with my wife and myself. So nice to see a class act on and off the screen. I was a fan before Bed even more so now. Game and fortune have not gone to her head and her humble feet are on the ground.

What a great place to eat Korean BBQ. The staff was accommodating and quick to refill our orders of meat. They are not stingy with their portions either. Our waiter always came by to make sure our meat was cooked perfectly and also helped us with our 3 year old who kept dropping spoons. The meat was fresh and many different cuts to choose from. I highly recommend coming here to eat.

We went there for its reputation before Xmas eve. BBQ itself was as good as many other Korean BBQ, but I personally am reserved with the way they run the place. As a buffet restaurant, the owner has the very right to prevent people from wasting food, but we had to call the waiters every 10-15 minutes-ish to bring over another 3 plates with few slices of meat. The more we asked the more guilty we felt, especially with no encouraging smiles from any of the helicopter waiters😜 I thought they were exhausted too. Guess this would be a great place for people with strong psychological build, but not so comfortable for sensible people with small appetite.

First timer. Great selection of meats and sides. Nice restaurant atmosphere, the place was packed and nicely cleaned. Valet parking for a good price available. Good service overall. Would recommend.

This place was awesome. 30.00$ for all you can eat besides a few different items. The meat was delicious. The marinated meat was really good. Comes with Kim chi napa and cucumber. There is also pickled daikon jalapenos and rice. But so many different types of meat you can eat. Great place.

My favorite restaurant but recently they changed the all you can eat menu and they lost a star because of that. Besides that I love this place. Love the quality and selection.

Not great quality meat. The ventilation is poor, so it’s so smokey. But, if you are more about the all-you-can-eat thing / are inebriated, it might just be the place for you.

Highly recommend, staff was great and welcoming. Food was very good, and plentiful. The beer tower was pretty awesome! Check it out at least once, I cant wait to go back.
